Install
Small to large tear-out of tile, vct, lvt, lvp, carpet, sheet vinyl, rubber and coatings, like epoxy. We use all types of machines depending on the size of job and if it’s on concrete, wood or gypcrete. We have large ride-one floor scrapers from National Flooring Equipment and Innovotech for larger projects on concrete floors, from 1st floor to high rise buildings (as long as we can fit it in the elevator). For smaller projects or ones on wood substrates, we have walk-behind floor scrapers from National Flooring Equipment and Taylor Tools. We use grinders and/or buffers to smooth the floor if and where needed. From a small office to large schools or arenas, we can tear it out!
Tear Out
Cove base is a type of trim that is installed along the base of an interior wall where the wall meets the floor. It is used to protect the base of a wall from damage and to provide a finished and more appealing look where it is installed. Vinyl and rubber molding is often selected over traditional wood baseboards because it is typically less expensive and is generally easier to install.

J.PIIF can help solve issues of why flooring might be discolored, letting loose, breaking apart. Sometimes there is moisture in the slab (this is why we moisture test) that can cause these problems. Some floors buckle because they were installed too tight or had no expansion gaps where needed. We repair torn, buckled, stained carpet. If flooring is scratched, gouged or dent, we can repair or replace them. If the subfloor is damaged and needs patching or leveling, we do that too!

Glue Down & Floating

We use a wagner Rapid RH tester to test relative humidity in concrete slabs before installing a floor covering. Knowing this, will tell us if we can install the selected floor covering or if the slab needs more time to cure, or if a moisture mitigation system needs to be installed. This is needed for warranty coverage on most sites.
